No effort was spared in providing back-of-house facilities for the comfort of artists and performers, especially to host an internationally assembled lineup of famous stars and orchestra members. Apart from fully furnished rooms complete with equipment and instruments for the performers’ convenience, the DFP ensures all luxuries are provided as well.
DFP has six practice rooms of varying sizes, and some are acoustically treated to cater to soloist and chamber groups. One of the practice room is fitted with a performance video/audio monitoring system, clear communication station, telephone and IT points, and may be used as a visiting orchestra’s management office.
The Conductor’s Room and the Guest Artist’s Room are fully equipped with en-suite washrooms, separate dressing rooms, medium grand pianos, built-in video/audio monitoring systems, telephone and fax machines. The Concert Master’s Room and three Soloists’ Rooms are similarly equipped.
The Green Room
The Green Room or Musicians’ Lounge, large enough to accommodate 130 people, is equipped with a built-in video/audio monitoring system for performance relays; washrooms and changing rooms; as well as facilities for hot and cold refreshments.
